Finding the Puzzle Pieces
It all started with a call on Discord with a friend. He suggested I make keycaps with my 3D printer and sell them online. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but after searching online about the world of mechanical keyboards and keycaps, I fell in love with it. I was fascinated by the level of detail some people achieved and the effort they put into their creations.
2022-2023
Putting the Puzzle Together
Tired of the not-so-premium quality of my 3D printed keycaps, and in search of something better, I decided to dive into the world of silicone molds and resins. If someone told you it's easy to get started in this world, they were lying to you :))). At first, it’s tricky to learn which materials work best for you, how to handle them, and when to use them. Additionally, I also started learning more 3D programs to improve the keycaps, not just physically, but also virtually.
2024-20....
Puzzle Complete
With the entire process perfected – from improving how I printed my 3D models to selecting the right materials and optimizing the designs – I can say that I now have a product I'm proud of. I went from using just one mold to create an Oreo keycap, to using three separate molds to assemble the pieces of this little puzzle called the Oreo Keycap.
